The Bakery Boutique is partnering with the MS Society to promote the “Cakes for a Cause” campaign. Multiple Sclerosis is a devastating disease that attacks the Central Nervous System. Today there are new treatments and advances in research that bring hope to people who are affected by this disease. My inspiration for this campaign is that of a personal one. My mother, Ann Marie Puleo, lost her battle with MS on July 17, 2008. She was diagnosed in 1976 when I was six months old. My mother had a will like no other. She always kept her hopes up with the thought that one day there would be a cure. Over the years we have tried many treatments but were unsuccessful in our fight. The people who are living with MS today are more fortunate as there are more options for treatment available. Each month when a “Cakes for a Cause” featured cake is purchased we will donate 25% of the purchase price to the MS Society.
